ECPI American Red Cross Blood Drive a success!!

The ECPI Student Ambassadors adopted the American Red Cross as their latest philanthropy project. A former ECPI student had suffered a fire and was helped greatly by the American Red Cross. Through pizza sales and donut sales, the Ambassadors raised over $350 to donate. In addition, the Student Ambassadors sponsored a blood drive. On Tuesday May 27, students and faculty visited the Red Cross Bloodmobile to donate blood and the donation check was presented to Red Cross staff.

The photo features Pamela Deboard, Student Ambassador President, Roberta Freer from the American Red Cross, James Rund, Charleston Campus President, and Jody Cohen, Student Ambassador advisor.

ECPI Charleston New Addition Ribbon Cutting Event held on April 25, 2008

The ECPI and Medical Careers Institute Charleston Campus recently increased its space with the addition of new classrooms, a distance learning lab, reception area, student breakrooms, and faculty offices. On April 25, the grand opening celebration was held. To accommodate increased demand, and after almost a 3 year presence in the Charleston metro area, ECPI identified the need to add more space and to upgrade its existing facilities. The expansion also allows ECPI to grow its programs of study.

In the photos are Jim Rund, Charleston campus president and local councilman Tim Scott cutting the ribbon and Pamela Deboard and Cordero Fredrick, ECPI Student Ambassadors Club presidents, at the sign in desk.

Guests at the Ribbon Cutting included local business leaders, some ECPI graduates, current ECPI faculty and staff, and some former ECPI instructors. The event was held in the beautiful new ECPI atrium.
